Wine Cellar Sorbets
Straight outta Brooklyn, Wine Cellars makes a darn tasty, unique sorbet. No worries, you’ll still be able to navigate those Columbia County country roads after a bowl. While these are made with real wine, most of the alcohol magically disappears during the carefully crafted process.
In fact, Otto almost gave owner, Bret Birnbaum, a heart attack over the alcohol content. Early on Bret landed Whole Foods as a buyer for his sorbet, a huge coup for his fledgling company. Otto phoned Bret and set off a small-company three-alarm panic by stating, “I don’t think we can sell your product without a liquor license.” Calls where made, due diligence done, and Bret came back with the right answer—no license required for confections. Whew!
Try one of the six flavors we carry: Rose, Mimosa, Sangria, Ruby Port, Champagne, and Cabernet Sauvignon.
