Maya Kaimal Curries Get a chicken breast either uncooked or pre-cooked (look in the deli or front freezer), a few vegetables (fresh or frozen), chop everything up, throw it in a skillet, add Maya Kamal Curry Sauce and cook until done. Serve over rice.
Turkey Dinner No need to wait for Thanksgiving to get your turkey fix. Ask the deli to cut a couple of extra thick slices of our in-house roasted turkey; grab some stuffing mix, cranberry sauce and Bruce’s Candied Yams and you can have a Thanksgiving feast any time of the year!
Pizza and a Salad We have two ways to whip together a delicious pizza:
One: Frozen pizza dough (front freezer). If you have time to thaw the dough, this is the way to go, better (and much cheaper) than take out.
Two: Rustic Crust: Organic Pizza Originale (bread aisle). This pizza goes from oven to table in ten minutes flat.
Stop by the deli for fresh mozzarella and interesting toppings, like roasted tomatoes, artichoke hearts and prosciutto. Add some Contadina Pizza Sauce (middle aisle) or our made-in-house bruschetta (front refrigerator). Pick up some salad greens and a bottle of dressing and you’re done!
Shrimp Jambalaya Take some shrimp (front freezer) and a box of Zatarain’s Jambalaya Mix (middle aisle). Follow the directions on the box and your Cajun dinner is served.
Thai Beef Salad Have the deli slice a couple slices of 1-inch thick pieces of roast beef. Cut the slices into strips and add to a large bowl. Add whatever salad greens you like and some salad vegetables like carrots, radishes and red peppers. Toss with Newman’s Own Sesame Ginger Salad Dressing or San-J Thai Peanut Sauce. Easy, delicious and healthy, especially if you use spinach!
