Just how many recipes are said to be the real Mrs. Fields cookies?
I don’t know. But these are good enough to be. Notice that the recipe calls for 2 packages of chocolate chips. I make the cookies really big, about 6 to a sheet.

1 cup butter, melted and cooled
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
2 eggs (at room temperature)
1 tsp. vanilla
21/4 cups flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
Two 12-oz. packages of chocolate chips
1 cup walnuts, chopped

Mix butter and sugars. Add eggs and vanilla. Stir in dry ingredients, then chips and nuts. Bake in a slow oven, 325°F for 14 to 18 minutes.
