JB Peel Coffees and Teas Gil Klein is the roast master of JB Peel Coffees in Red Hook, New York. He does a great job, and in my search for a local roaster, he is the closest and the best! As many of Gil’s blends are named for nearby towns, I asked him to create a “Germantown Blend.” He asked me what that would be, and I described a strong, hearty and robust roast. Well, he brought it to fruition. The Germantown Blend is brewed in the store and sold in whole bean, and it is our #1 seller. By far!

Germantown Community Farms Fresh eggs delivered to our store, all different sizes and colors. It’s like Easter every day. They are a fantastic group of passionate young farmers, also very good customers in our store. More produce to come this season.
Sally Dodge’s Pies Sally Dodge is a lifelong Germantown resident who has been baking pies for years. Well, they are something amazing. Every Thursday night, Sally and her husband Doug arrive with this really cool pie carrier full of delightful fruit pies. They are usually gone by Saturday at noon, so if you want to get one, Friday is your best bet.
 Barbara’s Hummus I got Barbara’s Hummus at a farm stand this summer. I ate the whole tub in one sitting with a spoon. No crackers or bread! Then when we talked I not only wanted to sell her hummus, I wanted her to work with me. Now she is working here and under the name of Barbarella.
